Locomotive 103
Distilled, Matured & Bottled in Scotland
Designed and built in 1894, the powerful Highland Railway 4F, 4-6-0 Class locomotive gave 40 years of service transporting freight, including barrels of whisky, throughout Scotland’s famous whisky-making regions. Locomotive 103 was one of fifteen that were made and today is the only surviving example of its class. In 1966, Locomotive 103 finally returned to its birthplace in Glasgow and now, fully restored, rests quietly in the Riverside Transport Museum on the banks of the Clyde. This fabulous engine helped bring Scotch whisky to the World.
This blended Scotch whisky is a mix of finest malt and grain Scotch whiskies that have been matured over several years in a variety of oak casks. It has a delightful aroma and a silky-smooth taste with hints of fruit and warming spice.
Bottle 70cl – 40%ABV
